The Wedding of Lindsay & Ian

Lindsay and Ian were married New Years Eve here in Portland. The ceremony was at The Old Laurelhurst Church, and the reception was celebrated at The Acadian Ballroom on Alberta Street.  From the moment I saw the bride and groom that evening till when I left early the next morning, the two of them were always smiling, laughing, and having an amazing time with each other. They are a fabulous couple. I  loved meeting their close friends and relatives and everyone there made me feel so welcomed. Thank you Lindsay and Ian for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day and I wish you both the best to come!

Countdown to NYE

gardner_1337

I couldn’t find the couple as I heard the dj count down the last remaining 10 seconds of 2008, and then, I spotted them with one hand on my camera and the other hand holding my cell phone with my husband on the other line. I had promised I would call him at midnight so that we could still celebrate the new year together. I was scheduled to leave the reception at 11:30 but I stayed around so that I could capture the excitement of the new year and the garter/bouquet toss.

Happy New Year!! Here’s to 2009!
