Portland Bride and Groom Magazine

Lindsey and Jared submitted their wedding images to Portland Bride and Groom magazine and I was so thrilled that they were chosen to be published in PB & G’s  Summer Issue under Real Weddings. Congratulations Lindsey and Jared!

Amber & Jonathan (Getting Ready)

I was absolutely thrilled and honored to be hired to photograph the wedding of Amber and Jonathan in a  lovey place called Pleasant Garden, North Carolina this April 10, 2010.  While April in Portland was rainy and gray, April in N.C. was beautiful, warm, sunny, and smelled soo good. Lilacs, woodsy, earthy smells with the sounds of tiny forest animals everywhere. I was in love! I was hired by this amazing couple from afar so my first time meeting them was at their rehearsal dinner the night before their big day. They were so warm and welcoming and made me instantly feel at ease. Their amazing group of friends made me feel right at home and took me under their wings. There are so many wedding photos from their unique day that I want to share with you, so I’m going to break it up into several postings, ha!

First up, setting the scene and anticipation photos.

Carpe Diem, Seize the Day. I couldn’t say it better myself!

The amazing Venue, Walnut Lane Bed & Breakfast, Pleasant Garden, NC

The handsome and confident groom, Jonathan. He wore a white suit, brown dress shirt, and tie and looked so dapper. He was an absolute gem in front of the camera and in person and really made me smile.

The incredibly beautiful bride Amber. Her entire aura radiates happiness and draws people to her like a flame to a fire. Not only does she have an infectious smile, but she is absolutely stunning to look at. Sure made my job easier!

More posts to come! Promise!

Liana & Sara Bean

I wanted to post some photos of my wonderful friend Liana, and her little girl, Sara. I photographed Liana’s wedding several years ago and we quickly became friends. My son and I met them at  Urban Grind for some much needed catching up time for the moms and a playdate for the kids. I had a camera with me and took some photos of mom and daughter playing together. Isn’t Sara the cutest?! She’s absolutely precious! I’m truly blessed for our friendship. Thank You Liana!

Color Inc’s Pick of the Day

So after placing an order for some of my client’s images, I found out that the professional photo lab, Color Inc, chose one of the images I had ordered printed to be their, Pick Of The Day,  on their blog and facebook page.

“Congrats! Your image from order “R108083” has been chosen as ColorInc’s “Pick of the Day!” With your permission, we would love to post it to our facebook fan page, twitter, and blog, as well as include it in possible marketing material. Also, we would like to include it in our new product album that would feature your “Pick of the Day” and others from the year.

So what image stood out to them and then was voted to be the pick of the day? Why, one of Jill and Rocky’s Ecola Beach  couple photos. Here’s a link to see it on their blog and facebook. http://colorinc.typepad.com/color-inc-connect/page/4/ Pretty Cool!

Jill + Rocky are Married! March 6, 2010

So after spending some time with Beckham I hopped in the car and drove to the coast for Jill and Rocky’s wedding. The 6th of March was a fun and exciting day to say the least.

Jill and Rocky live in Idaho but decided to have an imtimate ceremony in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Cannon Beach, Oregon. We created a two hour photography package that fit their specific needs, and I met Jill at her hotel room where she and Rocky were getting ready in separate rooms. After photographing their first look, we stopped off in front of  Haystack Rock for a few photos before heading to their wedding ceremony site, Ecola State Park. They were surrounded by their family and close friends as they spoke their wedding  vows to each other on a bluff overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. After a very moving and emotional ceremony officiated by Barbara Beach, their friends and family showed how thrilled they were for the newly married couple by throwing an abundance of rice at them. I then walked and talked with the couple as we went around the park, stopping here and there  to take some fun and beautiful photos as the sun started to set over the Pacific Ocean.

Congratulations Jill and Rocky on your marriage and all of the new adventures that you are about to undertake!
