The Bagley Family

This is Mr. W and he is 3 months old! He is also the smiliest baby I have ever met. In fact, when I first arrived and he smiled, I dropped everything, to capture the moment, and his dad told me not too worry, he smiles all of the time. I’m not used to catching such a young one with a big smile, so I trusted him, and as he said, Mr. W. smiled for me most of our session together. I had to remind myself to keep photographing when I caught myself just wanting to tickle and giggle with him. The lucky Bagley family!

I photographed mom and dad’s wedding at the the Old Laurelhurst Church, several years ago. Since then I have been invited over to photograph their daughter, the super sweet, extremely funny, Ms. T., mom’ s maternity photos, and then Mr. W, himself. Have I told you how much I love my “job”. It’s work, but it’s immensely satisfying.

One moment I want to share was when I saw a large print, framed, in their hallway, of a candid moment of Ms. T. at last year’s rainy session. She was gorgeous in her red raincoat, looking downward, and it stopped me in my tracks, before I even realized that it was an image I photographed. The large size of the image, framed, and hung prominently, was a definite work of art. Here’s my advice, don’t keep the digital files only on your digital devices. Get them printed, on actual photo paper, by a professional lab, all of which I can help you with, and get those images on your walls as art and an album you can view and show off to friends and family. These are gifts to your family now, and family members to come, to remember you by.

I hope everyone had a thankful Thanksgiving day!

The Ku Family

The wonderful Ku family! I photographed Ms. C’s mom and dad’s wedding at Tanner Springs Park, and their reception at the Ecotrust Building,  a few years ago. It was truly a memorable day and I blogged a little about their day here.

I am always so happy when I get to photograph this fun family. I count them as good friends, and love being invited to document their new family after their adventurous wedding. Ms. C is sooo cute and a ball of energy! I’m working backwards on my blogging, (sorry it’s been so long! some people are great bloggers, and others, (cough, cough), aren’t;) and there will be more posts with her going all the way back to being in her mom’s belly.

Thank you Ku Family!

Grace

Recently I was invited to photograph a beautiful 2 1/2 month  little baby girl named Grace. She was surrounded by her lively and fun older brothers Nathaniel (4) and Benjamin (2). I was mostly there to photograph Grace, but was able to get some photos of the whole family also. Nathaniel was quite the ham whenever the camera was fixed on him and sweet Benjamin was a bit more quiet and serious. I really enjoyed spending time and getting to know the entire family.  Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!img_0004bw
